“The clinic supports any of us at any time. - that’s how caring these people are.”

Community Health

The health and well-being of our tangata whaiora is our priority. We provide a variety of health services across Te Waipounamu, including:

  • Community Health & Hepatitis C Service in Ōtautahi Christchurch

  • A mobile, peer-led hepatitis C screening and treatment service operating throughout Te Waipounamu

  • Weekly Nurse Practitioner Service at our Ōtautahi Christchurch needle exchange

  • Weekly Health Service at our Ōtepoti Dunedin needle exchange

We’re here to support people who inject or use drugs, advocating for harm reduction and providing a trusted, non-judgmental front door to services.

Healthcare for Kaewa

DISC Trust runs a weekly health clinic in Christchurch for people experiencing homelessness (kaewa). Clinical Nurse Lead, Leah, shares how they create a safe space for kaewa to discuss their health concerns and ask questions in this short video. The programme is run with our partners, Housing First Ōtautahi.
